The project “3DMed – Development and streamlined integration of 3D printing technologies to enable advanced medical treatment and its widespread application” was approved recently by the Monitoring Committee of INTERREG 2Seas programme.

The consortium, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Amir Zadpoor from Delft University of Technology, includes top universities and innovative companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK, who will join forces to deliver:

  • Personalized medical devices, designed using the images acquired for individual patients,
  • Complex shapes and miniaturized geometries for implants and surgical instruments, to enhance treatment effectiveness and post-treatment recovery;
  • Streamlined care by integrating diagnosis, design and manufacturing of 3DP medical devices with post operatory evaluation into a validated and widely accessible software platform.
