Are you working on metal forming topics?
We would like to assess how relevant the prediction and control of tribological influences are for the quality of the forming process. Would you like to share your opinion? It only takes 5 minutes to complete the survey.
More information
A survey has been launched within the project ASPECT. The purpose of the survey is to assess how relevant the prediction and control of tribological influences are for the quality of the forming process and to confirm or complete the assumptions made by the consortium when addressing these influence.
The project
The ASPECT project is co-funded by the INTERREG North-West Europe programme, 13 companies and research organizations will develop the technology to predict and control of tribological effects in metal forming processes. In particular, the friction variation with temperature during the start-up of the production line will be investigated, as it is assumed this is responsible for a loss of productivity of 25-40%. The ASPECT consortium will develop an accurate and reliable predictive model, along with an adaptive control system to adapt the process settings based on temperature-dependent friction input. The technologies developed in ASPECT to predict and control the tribological influences during forming will result in robust, stable and efficient production processes, with the associated economic benefits. Ultimately, ASPECT will contribute to keeping manufacturing in Europe.
Purpose of the survey
Companies and research centers working on metal forming topics and tribology are kindly asked to fill in this survey. The purpose of the survey is to assess how relevant the prediction and control of tribological influences are for the quality of the forming process and to confirm or complete the assumptions made by the consortium when addressing these influences. It only takes 5 minutes of your time. The respondents will automatically be part of the “ASPECT Interest Group” and will be given access to the practical training sessions and demonstrator activities planned in 2018/2019.
The questionnaire is available in all four North-West European languages: English Here – French Here – German Here – Dutch Here . Your input is very valuable for us and we assure you it will be treated confidentially. If you have already filled in the questionnaire in 2016, thank you very much, your input is much appreciated and there is no need to fill it in again.
