M2i Community: connect with the network in materials innovation
The “Materials ecosystem”: we call it this because it involves all players in industry and academia, organizations and individuals, in fact the whole network which enables materials innovation. Driven specialists, researchers, managers and entrepreneurs – at established institutes, academia, large industries and smart start-ups. M2i connects with the players in the Materials eco-system to enable materials innovation in The Netherlands and internationally. Our personal approach has been well known for years. Now we are adding M2i Community: an online platform. We will start small, letting it grow and develop, and invite all players in materials innovation to build the M2i Community with us so that the entire Community benefits. ‘Doe maar duurzaam’ showcasts Circular Circuits project
The Circular Circuits project participates in the next TV-program “Doe maar duurzaam”. The project leader Prof. Arnold Tukker and two PhD’s (Dorien van Dolderen and Max van Beek) explain the need for circularity in electronics in front of the camera.
M2i Thematic Meeting: Towards the Circular Economy in Metals – Looking back
On April 8, 2025, the Materials innovation institute (M2i) hosted the thematic meeting “Towards Circular Economy in Metals” at Het Vakwerkhuis in Delft. The event convened experts from academia, industry, and government to explore strategies for transitioning the metals sector towards circularity. The program topics spanned over the whole metal life cycle allowing for a balanced view.
