Meeting Materials 2019

Aluminum is the most widely used metal in the light metals portfolio, with many applications spanning transportation, packaging, and construction and other key markets. Advances in alloy technology and processing methods offer opportunities to enhance product performance, improve process efficiency, and reduce costs.

However, the recent geopolitical developments combined with issues such as decarbonization, energy constraints and material scarcity, present a serious challenge for aluminium. This is in stark contrast to the clear need for innovative high tech aluminium based products relying on new alloys with superior properties and the ability to preserve valuable alloy scrap from various sources for recycling.

Following on from the success of the 2025 session, Dutch Aluminium Association (DAA) in collaboration with M2i, is organsing a renewed thematic event. A number of expert speakers will present various topics dealing with the above mentioned subjects. The event will focus on exploring  opportunities to enhance innovative aluminum alloy developments and the ensuing products to lead the industry safely and sustainably into the future.

The event will take place in Q3 of 2026, at Koninklijke Metaalunie, Einsteinbaan 1, 3439 NJ Nieuwegein. The event is open for all interested. Registration will open closer to the event.
