The researchers from the DEPMAT project recently visited Geerts Metaalwaren to gain deeper insight into advanced manufacturing processes for steel parts and to better understand how variations in material properties can affect production.

The insights gained during the visit will help the DEPMAT consortium to better understand the critical interactions between material properties, manufacturing processes, and circularity-driven supply chains. By combining industrial experience with data-driven modelling and simulation, the project contributes to more stable production process and supports the transition towards circular steel value chains.
