About Meeting Materials
The goal of this one-day meeting was to discuss the latest developments in coated materials and the prevention of corrosion. Both leading academics as well as industrial experts presented their findings and products. Topics discussed included the latest developments in corrosion monitoring and testing to study local corrosion phenomena, in (de) bonding mechanisms of organic coatings and in smart ways of corrosion protection. Innovations in metallic coatings, surface treatments and paint systems will be presented along with their applications.

The aim of Meeting Materials is to bring together people from the field of materials in an informal atmosphere.

Meeting Materials "Innovations in Coatings and the prevention of Corrosion" was organized by Materials innovation institute (M2i) in association with SIM and the Bond voor Materialenkennis (including the sections Nederlandse Vereniging van Verftechnici en de Studiekern en Sectie Corrosie).
