M2i will be the Dutch representative in ERA-MIN, a European network program on the handling of raw materials in industry. It will cover the area of primary resources, secondary resources (recycling) and new materials and substitutes which use less scarce resources.
In this European initiative, M2i is responsible for developing a national network on the handling of raw materials, including the development of a joint call for research proposals with the involvement of national organizations. M2i’s activities in the ERA-MIN Consortium are closely related to recent activities on the topic of materials scarcity, such as the materials scan of the Dutch technological industry (performed with TNO) and other M2i publications.
About ERA-MIN
ERA-MIN is an ERA-NET program on the industrial handling of raw materials for European industries. The objective of the ERA-NET scheme is to develop and strengthen the coordination of national and regional research programmes throughout Europe. ERA-MIN is aimed at networking and improving the coordination of research programmes in the field of industrial production and supply of raw materials. The ERA-MIN Consortium is currently composed of 11 partners from 9 countries.
