M2i performs projects which introduce M2i knowledge at the shop floor of the industrial partner.
In addition to the research projects initiated by the industrial partners of M2i, knowledge application projects are carried out in order to implement the research results on the shop floor of industry.With the Knowledge Application Projects for Industrial Partners module steps are taken to transform the results of M2i research into a prototype or demonstrator. This makes it easier to bridge the gap between research result and industrial application. This module is specifically designed to increase the efficiency of the implementation process.
During and after the execution of a research project, a team of M2i experts and representatives of the industrial partner decide what is required to develop a prototype or demonstrator. The required expertises to achieve the desired goal are defined and brought together. A project is defined and is implemented by M2i. Projects are short-term with a duration of several weeks to a year.
