In research groups at 17 universities in the Netherlands and abroad, over 130 M2i researchers work for the industrial partners of M2i.
Research projects are initiated by questions regarding materials from industry or by ideas for materials innovation from universities. In all cases, the industrial and academic partners of M2i team up to develop proposals for research projects.
M2i gives universities access to a network of companies with challenging material innovation questions. By establishing partnership agreements between M2i and the universities, the research groups can define and carry-out first class materials research without the need to spend time on financial and contractual conditions.
Research is carried out by M2i PhD and Post Doc researchers on a wide variety of material innovation topics. All research projects are about carrying out scientifically sound research which can be transformed into innovative materials for industry and society.
