M2i works with both companies (from small- and medium-sized to large enterprises) and universities and their PhD and Post-Doc researchers.

Industries

M2i is an innovation program to develop and apply new and improved materials. The key message of M2i is that high-tech materials are crucial to creating a sustainable society and achieving economic growth. M2i has build up an international network of prominent universities and leading companies to share their knowledge in a public–private partnership within the M2i program.

Researchers and students

M2i has defined eight Technology Clusters, in which research projects are being carried out. Our job is to search the PhD and Post-Doc students for these projects. They get the chance to do in-depth research at a university together with the industry. M2i enables them to develop their scientific career as well as preparing them for a new challenge in industry or the academic world after they have finished their employment with M2i.


Universities

M2i also has an important function for universities, as it introduces universities to the best and renowned industries. We do not only enable universities to offer PhD or Post-Doc positions, but we also support universities in their search for cooperation opportunities with the business world in other areas.


SME

M2i helps SMEs developing novel material solutions by organizing awareness projects in which new materials knowledge is made available and by performing SME cluster projects in which a small research program is performed for a temporary cluster of SMEs. Furthermore, SMEs have access to M2i’s research, facility sharing, and flying squad activities.
